Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see a domestic space differently: a clear explanation of a design choice, a useful comparison, a well-framed history or a grounded idea for a particular room or situation. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What makes a good pitch
Name the question, the intended reader and the central point you would make. Explain why the subject suits our focus on space, light, sound, privacy or flow, and what makes your proposed piece distinct from familiar advice.
A useful approach
We value plain language, specific examples and careful limits. Pitches should not depend on unsupported claims, invented experience or instructions for safety-critical work. Tell us what material or expertise your approach would require without implying access you do not have.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant writing samples you wish us to consider. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may ask for clarification before deciding whether it fits.
Balance is built into the room
A room can support several needs without doing them all at once. We look at the choices that help space, light, sound and shared use sit comfortably together.
