Editorial policy

We aim to make each piece clear, useful and proportionate to what it can establish. We distinguish general design observations from matters that need a qualified specialist, and we revise wording when a claim or explanation needs correction.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication, explain uncertainty where it matters and avoid presenting personal preference as a universal rule. Readers should be able to tell what a piece explains and what it leaves open.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Partner or sponsored material is labelled clearly as such, and a partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial coverage. We do not present a paid placement as an independent recommendation.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us through the Contact page and identify the piece and detail. We review correction requests and amend published material when warranted, with the aim of making the change plain to readers.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Illustrations are not evidence of a product, room or event, and we avoid using them to imply that a pictured result has been tested or observed.

Our point of view

Balance is built into the room

A room can support several needs without doing them all at once. We look at the choices that help space, light, sound and shared use sit comfortably together.
